Nepali, being the mother tongue of most of the Nepali communities, is understood by almost all Nepalese. Increasing online presence and rapid development in information technology in Nepal have made the Nepali language as primary demand in websites and social media.
In the case of Androids and iOS, the hassles of Nepali typing is completely removed by the popular app 'Hamro Keyboard' and many other apps available in Play Store/App Store. But there is a bit difficulty in finding the right applications for PCs.

Although it has been in practice for many years, many newbies or even old and heavy users, including me (somehow) have no idea about it. Memorizing different codes for different characters is not an easy job, however many others find it easy, let it be.
Nowadays, many Nepali websites and blogs have given us the opportunity to Nepali Unicode conversion online. In the presence of these websites, Nepali typing on computers has been as easy as typing in Android's 'Hamro Keyboard' app like to type 'हामी', just type 'Haamee or Hami' and it will automatically display the desired Nepali word. The Nepali word generated by these web apps can then be pasted wherever we need.
All the stories above were related to some backgrounds and online Nepali typing. Let me talk about offline Nepali typing for Photoshop, Office, creating files/folders and much more which can be performed without WiFi, NTC dongle or any other modems.

But after a few searches on Google, I found a product by Google itself - 'Google Input Tools'. Now I take Google Input tools as a best Nepali typing solution for windows users.
Although Google Input Tools is not a new application, many of us may still be unfamiliar with this. The good thing about Google Input tools Nepali is that it works as a Unicode conversion tool. Step 4: You can see a list of different languages in the right sidebar. Google Input Tools currently supports 22 different languages. Select 'Nepali' or you can select your desired language, such as Hindi for Hindi typing, Urdu for Urdu typing and so on. Click the ticker for privacy and terms agreement. If necessary, read the policies and terms too. But who does!
Step 5: Finally, click on 'Download' Button.

Steps
Step 1: Go to Input tools' official site: Google Input Tools.Step 2: Now you can see different options cheek by jowl on the top navigation menu like 'Try it' for online Nepali Unicode as discussed in the story above.
Step 3: For offline typing tool, go to 'On windows' for Windows users. We cannot see 'On Mac' option there. Maybe they will bring this feature in near future.
Step 4: You can see a list of different languages in the right sidebar. Google Input Tools currently supports 22 different languages. Select 'Nepali' or you can select your desired language, such as Hindi for Hindi typing, Urdu for Urdu typing and so on. Click the ticker for privacy and terms agreement. The file is of small size, downloading doesn't consume long time and heavy data. After downloading, it automatically installs and downloads necessary files within 1 minute.

Is this a Hamro Patro PC version? Absolutely not. Hamro Patro has not yet released its PC version at least until today. Input Tools is solely provided by Google. And it is the best tool to type Nepali in PCs as it has every feature that you want to have. Thanks, Google! You are a sacred cow.
