How to integrate Infolinks ads in your blog?

I assume you have successfully signed up to Infolinks and your blog is still under review. In the meantime, you can integrate small piece JavaScript code into your blog. Infolinks has an extremely easy integration system. Whether you are on Blogger or WordPress, they provide Plugin (Gadget in case of Blogger) for both platforms. Adding respective service (Plugin or Gadget) to your blog is the only thing you have to do. You can do this by clicking on desired services on the 'under review' page of the Infolinks' dashboard. Ad types served by Infolinks

Infolinks serves a variety of ad types for the publishers. Intext ads might be a most exclusive ad type served by Infolinks. Note that Infolinks is an eCPM network, that is, they pay you on the basis of ad views (Impressions). They also have CPC based system. So, Infolinks pays you on the basis of both clicks and impressions.

In addition to Intext ads, Infolinks serves many other ads types. Here, I will explain every ad types, so that it would be easier for the beginners too.

i. Intext Ads
It is a unique ad-format served by Infolinks. In this type, some of the texts of your blog are turned in to links, which on hover-over shows ads and you are paid for that ad view in return. You can customize how many links are to be displayed per page in your Infolinks dashboard. This is how Intext ads function:

ii. Infold Ads
Infold ad is another unique ad format served by Infolinks. The logic behind Infold ad is simple. When a visitor visits your blog or blog page, a small pop-up appears at the bottom of the page. You have three options to Infold ad placement; left, middle and right. The official demo of Infold ad can be viewed in the screenshot below.

iii. Intag Ads
Intag ads are similar to Intext ads but, the tags are generated by Infolinks itself, without linking your page texts. Note that Infolinks is a contextual ad network. All the tag clouds are related to the content of your blog. Official demo of Intag ads:

iv. Inframe Ads
Inframe ads are the banner ads that appear on your blog page margins, in the left and right. This type of ads will be beneficial if you have unused space in your blog sidebars.

In addition to these ads, Infolinks also features Inscreen and Inarticle ad formats. Both of these ad formats are content friendly. Both of them uses small space on your website/blog to show related ads within your blog posts.

Infolinks Referral program

Infolinks enables its publisher to participate in referral program as I have already posted about it in short in 'the 9 easy ways to load money on Payoneer MasterCard' post. For this purpose, Infolinks generates you a unique referral URL, which you can use to invite new bloggers to participate in Infolinks Publisher Program. After your readers/friends sign up to Infolinks using your referral link, you will earn 10% of their revenue for 12 months. Imagine if your referral is earning 500$ per month!

Here is the official tagline for Infolinks Referral program:
Refer new publishers to Infolinks and earn 10% of their revenue for 12 months.
I am also a member of Infolinks Referral Program. The sign-up links provided in this article are my referral links. I will earn some commission (as described above) if you signup using my referral link. Note that your revenue won't be deducted (not at all) by using my referral links.

Infolinks payment methods

Infolinks has a wide variety of payment methods. Payment can be received via:

  • Paypal
  • Bank Wire
  • eCheck
  • ACH (For US bank accounts)
  • Payoneer

If you are from Nepal, you can get your payments via Payoneer or by Direct Bank Transfer (Wire Transfer). There are no withdrawal fees for Payoneer and ACH. However, you have to accommodate  fees in other payment options as:

  • eCheck - $6 + 2% conversion fees (Conversion fees to receive your revenue in local currency)
  • Payal - $1+
  • Bank Wire - $25 + conversion fees
If you are from Nepal, I recommend you to use Payoneer MasterCard. Using this way, you will be able to decrease some amount of payment fees.

Pros and Cons of Infolinks

Pros
  1. Different ad formats
  2. Easy Approval
  3. Easy Integration
  4. Easy Ad customization
  5. Contextual Ads
  6. No Ad space needed
Cons
  1. Decrease blog load time (Not considerable)
  2. Outdated UI
  3. To much Intext ads may ruin visitor's interest
(Recommended to use not more than 6 - 7 Intext Ads)
Sometimes Infolinks ads may not be served on your blog. It might be because of the geography of visitors. Or, they may not have an advertisement related to your blog niche.

Verdict

Infolinks is one of the best contextual ad networks available. Although I have now discontinued using Infolinks (for a while), I was impressed by the services they offer. If you have a well-built blog with decent traffic, you can earn a decent income from the Infolinks alone. In reference to various forums, Infolinks' eCPM rate starts from $1 to maximum of $20. But, the maximum eCPM I got was 3$. Isn't it good?

If your blog is just a start-up, you can still monetize it with Infolinks ads. There is no any traffic requirements for getting approved by Infolinks. In my case, I got approved my blog generating as low as 50 pageviews per day.
